Oops!, i forgot to post here before my other first two posts. I was born in 1970, and started building(on my own) when i was 7. I had to stop when i joined the Army, had a pretty intense, move out draw fire time there, tried to get back into after i ets'd, but couldnt seem to get in again for a while, but kept trying. Thankfully i won that fight, and i'm mostly back since, with an occassional awol here and there. I love to build all sorts; exotics, muscle...my favorite scale is 1/24, but do have larger scale for when i cant see anymore. Its very rare that i build replica stock... theres always something i woulda designed different to my taste. My mood dictates how detailed i build. I like to help people fix problems. After seeing how everyone was struggling with building the Aoshima Pagani Huayra, i decided to build mine to show how it could have all its issues fixed, and still manage to Uber detail it. I'm not opposed to metal bits, but lately i've been showing how styrene can still be used, and look just as, or even more realistic than multimedia products. I use to compete alot, but got bored and stopped...dont even display my awards...they are somewhere. I just build for the art of it...for the theropy of it, and to help others.Thats pretty much me i guess. Thanks for the add...God bless you all!!

One thing that I didn't know is that you were in the Army. What job do you have in there? I used to be a Huey crewchief and then was a tracked vehicle mechanic in Field Artillery. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing not only your completed work and WIP's but mostly just for your mere company around here. Again, great to have you here bud. Joe

Joe Hueys are the ONLY way to fly! Blackhawks are boring...Theropudic beating of the blades...the skids hitting the tree tops...dangling legs out of the doors as you bank right, or left.....yup, thats the life. I was a Scout...we went out looking for trouble in small teams. It was nice not having Higher around us breathing down our necks.

Welcome aboard Dann, good to have another scout in the mix. I ETS' the year you went in. My time in was from 70-77.My primary mos was 11D20 Cav Scout. Secondary was 95B10 Military Police. Sprnt time with the 114, 114A1, M114A1E1. I thought those tracks were really fun and way too cool. They had a 283 chevy gas engine in them and were water cooled. The 113 APC was another cool track. Enough room in there to carry a squad of guys. I did manage to Night Qualify(as the gunner) an M-551 at Ft. Riley Ks. I did that for a friend, the TC of the Track, as his regular gunner QUIT!! LOL Any way, Welcome aboard.
