I have the tamiya 1/20 MP4/4 kit, and I'm with you. I know that I want to paint the Red on also. Decals are good but, sometimes they don't do so good on HEAVY compound curves. And that's with solvaset setting solution.

No worries - quick test I assumed would fail and super easy to recover from. They are already off - masking tape trick.
Ya I pricked them and soaked them in microsol and they wouldn't sit down. Also, after drying for 24 hours they were flaking off.

I’m in to watch for the moment. Great stuff guys! In terms of totally different, I can’t wait to see the Evangelion come together!
Will start mine in a few weeks i think. Half way done with the base for my museum build. Once thats done I’m Red Hot & Roll’n!

It should go on fine if you're painting from inside your home with a vented paint booth Johnny. Just mist it first and then build in thin layers and keep the model car body moving when you're painting. |

Now that we have an armor group build under way for June 1, I've been thinking really hard about how to cater to the automotive members of our forum. Some of you that are here may remember my Red Hot & Rollin' Group Build that I ran in 2015 over at FSM. It was a HUGE success and stretched out for two years which was a total shock for me. I figured, "meh" if it lasts 6 months I'll be happy. Little did I know that it would go on until 2017. So....I figured I'd bring the group build here for nostalgia's sake and give 'er a go. Folks.....on June 1 there'll be another group build in addition to the Panther GB. The guidelines are: It will run from 1 June 2023 until 2 Jan 2024. You can enter models in any stage of completion, as long as they aren't past the 50% completed stage. Crossovers are welcome to join. Any scale, anything automotive but no military vehicles here please. Only civilian street and competition style vehicles please. Aftermarket items are allowed. The sky is the limit! Please share progress and pictures as you build. No bleeding allowed!  You can enter at any time within the group build time frame And finally as my most important rule/ guideline: Be social, encouraging and have fun! The Group Build Badge:  Joe How about this?
