I see many names here I am familiar with, many I am not. Hopefully everyone here is more active than some of the "other" sites out there. Looking forward to sharing the experience.

I've been out of town and am now trying to catch up. Thank you all for the kind words and encouragement. It feels nice to be welcomed is such a good way. I hope to get something going pretty soon. I have not been building since February, at all. With the rapid fall off in participation in my GBs and the total lack of feedback all around on the other forum I just lost interest in building at all. So my bench has sat unused. Hopefully you guys can help me find that motivation to get going on all those sick kits I have in my stash. Again, glad to be welcomed aboard.

Just haven't done much on them as I keep getting distracted.

tcoat, I am not pointing any fingers or laying any blame except on myself. Somewhere, somehow it all just stopped working. When everyone stops playing its not them, its you. So I take it for what it is and learn to stop and move along.

So I take it for what it is and learn to stop and move along. Hey Brandon, It aint you either. All GB's there are suffering right now because there just hasn't been as much participation. Used to the forum was CRAWLING with activity. It was just NUTS. My Butcher Bird GB went on for almost two years and had over 5800 posts and 196 frickin' pages!! That wasn't me..... It was the amount of actively posting members that were there that had everything to do with it. With less than 12 posts per day on a forum, there aint NO GB's that are gonna get much lovin'. The problem?.....Personally, I believe it's a total lack of staff presence and lack of marketing the forum by the site owners. It's an 8-5 job for them and nothing else AND I'm sure the leaders are swamped with other things to do especially with every business I can think of that's going "lean" these days which leaves the forum "hung out to dry". Try not to be so hard on yourself bud. You did a good thing by starting the GB and you've posted regularly in it which puts it back up to the top of the page on recent discussions for visibility.

You have kept the builds at the top of the list pretty well so don't think you are at fault. Just bad timing.

My biggest problem is I like to build just about anything. I started with cars as a youth, but now I love planes, ships, sci-fi, cars, figures, 3D metal kits, just about anything. Talk about "squirrel". I end up pretty happy with my work, but it's not even close to the work I see most of the peeps I know in here. I just try to keep up.

Try not to be so hard on yourself bud. You did a good thing by starting the GB and you've posted regularly in it which puts it back up to the top of the page on recent discussions for visibility. That particular site is good for technical info but is almost useless for actual ongoing communications. The lack of notifications, a cumbersome old school interface and zero methods of interaction beyond posting (no "like" or "thanks") make it awkward at best to try and follow individual sections. Several people have posted these concerns on the site and were pretty much ignored. I even spoke to both editors in person at a show and they had zero interest in talking about the forum. In fact if you were not one of their "regulars" or buying a subscription they seemed to have zero interest in speaking to anybody. It is fun to watch this place revive. Even back in early March when you invited me there were only maybe 6 or 8 people with well under 20 posts a day here on any sort of regular basis. Now look at the place!

I also jump from subject to subject with no apparent pattern. That is part of the beauty here in that there is not a focus on one subject or style. What I do is very different than what some others do and what they do is different again than the next guy. If we all did the same thing at the same level this would be a very boring hobby!
