Some kits just look really good all opened up… like this one! That came out really sharp! I don’t think that I’ve seen this one before.

She’s a beauty. I’ve heard the first generation Eduard Fw190’s can be quite difficult! You’ve conquered it.

They had their nuances but if you know what to look out for they build up just like any other kit would. I'd DEFINITELY build another one of these kits as there's detail everywhere on 'em.

Wow you nailed it with this one. I'm not one to open every access panel so I've heard this kit if you try and close the panels its a PITA

I do believe there's a newer tool version from Eduard that's easier to work with in terms of closing it all up. I've got an unbuilt Dragon A-8 that's all closed up already if I want to go that route.

Brings back fond memories of that GB. I recall learning a lot during that one, lots of inspiration from your build. I even remember some of what I learned.
It's sure nice to see your 'Yellow 8' again, Joe.

Thanks you guys. I thoroughly enjoyed this build. Royal Class kits are hard to come by but I've been able to score on a few of them in the last few years.

It is indeed wonderful to see your FW 190 once again. You really did a remarkable job on this especially opening up all the panels. That GB was an absolute hoot full of some incredible builds. I'll get around to posting my 190 from that GB. Thanks for sharing that.

That's very nice indeed Joe. Have an Eduard 190 in the stash.
Well done.

I think I still have my build log somewhere so I can let you in on some of the tricks of the trade in whipping one of these into shape. As was mentioned earlier, if you want one all opened up....these are the kits to do that with. If, however, you want to build one all buttoned up then I'd go with a Hasegawa or Dragon kit.

SIXTEEN? Oy. I remember when that kit was the new hotness. I'll never forget when I first saw it. I got the new Squadron flyer when I was over in Iraq in 2007 and said to myself "Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang!! I've gotta get one of those!" I bought one right then and there and brought it back home with me. This build here....is that kit from the Royal Class Boxing.

You got Squadron flyers sent to Iraq? That's a modeling addict for sure. I think I have one of those FW pieces from an Eduard kit down in my basement...hmmmmm.

WOW! Beautiful warbird you got! I think this will make you happy... buying a Fw-190 has been on my wish list for a while and I think I will get one by Eduard unless somebody makes better one in 1/48?

I suppose it depends what variant you want to do. Forgot....the Eduard D series doesn't reveal the engine area.....but those are still some of the best D series kits out there. I built a Tamiya D-9 several years ago and I wound up using the Eduard complete sliding canopy, main landing gear and gun cowl panel as well as the wing root cannon access covers to help it all out. The main landing gear on the Tammy D-9's make it look like it's got midget legs.
