Hello there.. Since I am between living spaces at the moment, and don't really have access to my painting equipment, I decided to give some of the Star Wars Bandai models a shot. I am working on the BB8 & R2D2 kit at the moment.... Man. They are satisfying to put together. So well engineered. I will be picking up more. I wish I could paint them That is all. Happy Modeling, friends!

I recently built my first Bandai kit, the Star Wars AT-ST. It was a pleasure building with all the perfectly fitting parts that just snapped together. Will build more.

Hobby lobby has 40% off boxed model kits so I grabbed an 1/48 AT-ST and a 1/72 X-Wing Starfighter Red5.

I'm hoping to start an M353A4 Bloodhound shortly as a break from the OV-10.

The beauty of Gundam is that you don't HAVE to paint them. Find one that has a scheme you can live with, hit it with a clear gloss/flat coat, then go to town with the weathering!

I love the Bandai Star Wars kits! I've built two X-wings, a Y-wing, and an AT-ST. I've also built some of the Gundam models as well.

I'm hoping to start an M353A4 Bloodhound shortly as a break from the OV-10. Is that the Bloodhound surface to air missile? It’s the hover truck from Gundam: 08th MS Team. Bandai did a 1/35 kit of it under their UC Hard Graph military-themed series. It’s a big vehicle, larger than an M1 Abrams. A 1/35 Bloodhound missile kit would be fabulous! Takom, you listening?

Ahhhh. One of those items. They do have some cool looking AFVs from some episodes that I’ve watched with my soon. Obviously sci fi designs, but plausibly not too far into the future.

Great work!
These aren’t the droids we’re looking for.

My son is definitely going to like you and your choices! He is so into those and he recently built those droids too! We were talking about doing dual build of AT-ST walkers some day.
Great work on the droids by the way! 👍

The X-wings and AT-ST are easy trouble free builds.

I've been checking out some star wars stuff on amazon.

Ooooooooh...do I get to pick what's next?? Absolutely! I just got some basic weathering goodies so once I dirty up these droids I will start whatever you pick. I would prefer we hold off on the falcon until I get some weathering practice in. Been a while, and limited tools.

In that case, I would crank out the AT-ST first. A lot easier to find (Hobby Lobby!) than the AT-AT or Falcon.

The trick with the Falcon is, are you going with "screen accurate"? Trying to exactly mimic the weathering is difficult. There are even some canon not-Falcon schemes available as well for other YT-1300s.
