These photos are from my diorama 'in progress' Please excuse the poor quality, they were taken with my phone which is hit or miss on photographing small things. Better photos will be posted when the dio is completed. The figures still need some work but the base is done except for the final weathering after the figures are added. The figures are from ICM #35695 The base is scratch built.

Holy cow! I love the base and the figures! Did you use real wood for the trench floor and wall?

Holy cow! I love the base and the figures! Did you use real wood for the trench floor and wall? Thanks. The trench walls/floors are 'coffee stir sticks'. I use them frequently in my dioramas. Cheers, C.

Wait!! These aren’t decent??!! Man you could’ve fooled me! If these don’t look great then I’m most certainly looking forward to your version of what is. This one’s bookmarked!!

You may be unhappy with the results, but I think that it looks really damn good. Very evocative of the later WWI Western Front…. chemical warfare and waiting to go over the top into No Mans Land. Great work!

I really like what I am seeing. Great work on the sandbags and its texture as I always wanted to make those one day. Sorry that you are not happy but I think it came out good. It can always get better with experience over time.

This is the main reason I felt the need to re-do parts of this dio. I believe a chunk of the flattening agent got into the airbrush and the airflow broke it into the tiny pieces you see on the figure. This was the final figure to be sprayed and the only figure that was affected. As you can see, the tiny white dots (which cannot be wiped off) have affected the whole figure. The bottom portion of the trench was similarly marred, but to a lesser degree. Consequently, I really had no choice but to repaint. I did put it all together for some quick photos knowing that I could avoid shooting the really bad spots. Cheers, C.
