modelcarjr That Hemi looks pretty dang snazzy and one can NEVER go wrong with the classic Cragar SS's. Black is my favorite color to work with and it looks like you've got this paint job down pat JR! I've not built an AMT Challenger up yet, only the Monogram. Is this a better kit than the Revellogram offering?

Thanks Andy, Medicman, and Joe! I appreciate your comments! Joe, I don't like it as much as the Revell RT or T/A but its OK. I was informed today that the exhaust headers that I used from the kit on the Hemi engine are incorrect. I used them so that they would hook up with the tailpipes in the kit easier than making some connector pipes. But I'm not going to correct now as the engine is in and the chassis is done. Another complication was that the windshield didn't glue in well. I always have issues with convertible windshields and this one is no exception. See below. I can't use 2-part epoxy because it smells and Mom won't have it. So I have to try to make the clear plastic cement work. Now that I got that done, I have the pleasure of re-foiling the windshield frame. I also created a problem with the radiator and support by gluing in and puttying the front fascia. So I had to cut the radiator support, glue in each piece, glue together in the middle and then paint the glue joint. Not a big deal, just another step. I finished the interior and installed it but didn't take photos so I will post those tomorrow. Thanks for looking!

I feel your pain - glass parts have always been my nemesis. Bob Smith makes a non-fogging CA glue that might help with stubborn clear parts.

That's pretty cool how you did the convertible top boot JR. A VERY clean replication of an iconic and rare ride. Did I mention that black is my favorite color when it comes to autos?

You did great! This is the kind of car I can see myself driving if I was old enough back then.
