This is really amazing work. The colors and contrasts really give it the look it needs. Wonderful job

Coming together nicely Carlos. What was your choice for the sand grey? What I've heard, the base color did change at least two times in IDF history?

Oooooh...this is looking good. What did you use for the Israeli gray?

Tobi & Dupes, thank you.
As far as the IDF Sand Gray goes, I went with AK Real Color 70’s-80’s version. I personally think that it’s closer to the 70’s shade than the 80’s version used in Lebanon. But then again, the whole army may not have been repainted in the later shade before the campaign started.

Thanks Andy! I do like the color, although it varies quite a bit depending upon the base color. The other night I just happened to find some headlight lenses that will work on this build in my “stuff”. All I can say is that I wish that I had found them a month ago. But after paint, I was not happy with how the headlights looked, as painting would never make them look right… so with my Dremel I removed the kit headlights… Then I glued the replacements in place after painting the interiors silver I also added a coat of dust on the tires, then test fitted everything…. just a few bits more of detail painting to do, plus some weathering and I’ll call this completed…

Well that is looking really close now. The color modulation is great and the dust look on the tires. As well as all your added equipment. And the headlights are a really nice touch.

I missed the last few updates on this one but I can tell you this.....I am TRULY impressed with not only all of the detailing aspects of this build but also the manner in which you painted all of this up after assembling everything. I just don't know how you do all of that and make it look this good. This turned out very well and you captured the dusty/ dirty look perfectly Carlos.

Thanks Tony! It was a lot of fun to do this one… lots of time looking for reference and thinking up how to create the modifications.
