Ooooooh, I built this very kits several years back and it was one of the most fun to build! A glorious little kit. You're doing an excellent build with this!!!

Well this one is back at the front of the line. Over the summer I had picked up a resin transmission set and I slowly built it and painted it up during various bench sessions. Today I got it all installed in place, along with a driver and gunner figure, and a bit of other stuff to fill the empty spaces



and then I glued the superstructure armor into place.



Next up to get that area camouflaged to match the hull and get it ready for markings, stowage, and weathering...

Yesterday I painted the camouflage on the superstructure, and the bare steel portions on the breech and recoil slide of the gun

Yesterday I applied a gloss coat, and today was decals.... all 8 of them including the name in double layers...





next up is sealing the decals in with more gloss then a pin wash where needed...

It’s really interesting to see this variation of camouflage compared to others. I am so used to seeing carefully airbrushed camouflage in pictures and box art that I forget some of these were just quickly brush applied in the field. This crew had the colors, had the brush, and went to town.

Yeah, when you look at good photos of real Panzers, I think that us modelers take more care in the camouflage schemes application than the real crews did. Whether the camo was sprayed on or brushed on, it tended to be more haphazard until the factory applied schemes came along.

I simply LOVE the scheme on this one Carlos!! You've really got "the look" goin on with this build and like Dennis said, the figure inside just puts the cherry on top of an already great looking build. Very impressive!!

Slow but sure, it's coming

Today was a case of airbrush, airbrush, and more airbrush... on this project I had recently applied a wash, and then cleaned it up... Today was airbrushing on a coat of flat clear





next up is final stowage and final weathering,,, plus I still need to add the radio antenna

Thanks Dupes. It had to be around 2003/2004 I would estimate that I started it.
