FINISH!!! Nissan Skyline GTR V-spec II (R34) - Tamiya 1/24

Hi everyone.
I am taking part in GB with a set of Tamiya Nissan Skyline GTR V-spec II (R34) 1/24. I have already opened the packages))
I haven't decided on the final result. Looking for options. Possibly OOB.

Seems like 90% of these are Blue or Silver. The blue cars look nice with pretty much any colour wheels, too.

This is gonna be so cool to watch come together. I'd tend to go with the blue color on this one but that's just me. This looks to be a pretty decently detailed out kit for being a curbside build.

Yes, I prefer blue too. The color 'pearl blue' will have to be ordered from the car paint store. The kit is typical for Tamiya. I'm sorry that there is no engine and gearbox.

You should probably display the model upside down. The weathering on the chassis is so nice.

Andy, comic style in car coloring - the car should look like on the comic book page.

Perhaps the car will be installed in a box with a transparent base.

One option is to put it on a raised horizontal transparent base with a mirror underneath it angled at about 45 degrees towards the viewer.

Well, if you're into Oriental Automotive Atrocities, search for "Itasha" (痛車).  The name means "Pain Car" because it hurts just to look at them...

For the true horror, check out "Bosozoku Cars" (暴走族の車).

Itasha car is a different style. Undoubtedly very beautiful.







Bosozoku Cars" (暴走族の車) is a VERY, VERY extreme Japanese tuning style. I don't understand this.

WOW...Those things sticking out of the hood, must be the exhaust headers...right? You would think the builders would mount a camera on the top of the grill (under the hood) to see the end of that huge board out front. It must have a fairly Large learning curve, to drive one of these.

I like your car a lot better. That blue body paint and the chassis detail that you did looks really good, Martin.

Yup!  But sometimes they just stick them on the end of the tailpipe, a style called Takeyari meaning "Bamboo Spear".

Fortunately, scale model kits of all of these rarely escape Japan, but beware, they do exist...

Your paint job came out very well bud. Very interesting but nicely done. The rest of these paint jobs and car/ truck photos you showed is nothing short of WILD. Never have I seen such a thing and the fact that there are scale models of them makes them even more wild.....and cool at the same time.

Wow. Just goes to show you how widespread car culture really is. A style for everyone. Those trucks are truly awful. I LOL’ed at “even the blessed darkness of night won’t save you from these” However the Skyline build is looking fantastic!

WOW. Know it is just a sample of a car drawing but I never expected to see an 86/FRS/BRZ on this forum!
