These kits do seem to have a good amount of details put into their chassis. Alot more than I'm used to seeing out of AMT (save for their 2017 Camaro which has almost 50 parts). Progress is looking rather good on this one Kyle.

It came out great despite its age! Another group build? Maybe you want to try and build a German Panther for the GB that I am part of too?

This one races across the finish line after a brief hiatus to build a Novi. Absolutely no issues with this old kit other than the slightly temperamental and fragile ancient decals. Even the cage and chassis fell together. I'd totally build another AMT/Ertl Nascar. Box stock. Just added some engine wiring and thats it. Thanks for looking. So what now? Another build in the group build? LOL This one seemed to go together fairly quickly despite your brief focus on the Novi Kyle. Makes me want to buy another Mark Martin AMT kit and build it after watching this one build up as well as it did. Beautiful outcome bud. As for another contribution to the GB? If you're up for another one, I'd sure like to have you in there. I've gotta get a thread started for all the finished builds for the Red Hot & Rollin' GB as there have already been a few.

NICE build! You did wonders with an old kit, and man, I have experience with old kit decals so I get what you went through! I’d never heard of Mr. Mark Softer …I just looked it up and need to look into that more in-depth… do you like it better than Microscale products?

I like most things out of the GSI Creos lineup. I’m also a sucker for products so I’ll try a lot of different ones. I do like Mr mark softer as I use it by itself instead of a micro set/micro sol combo. I don’t want to say it’s better as I have and use both products.

Hmmm, so does the Mr. Mark Softer act as both the Micro Sol and Micro Set, in one product? I always got confused over when to use Sol and Set…couldn’t tell you right now, if you asked, as a matter of fact

I’m not the manufacturer and they do sell a Mr Mark Setter so I’m not sure if that was their thought or if they’re just trying to sell more products but it’s worked really well for me going over contours. But the product o use on a given day really just depends on what I reach for. I’ve applied decals successfully with set and sol, my hobby, Tamiya mark for strong and solvaset.

That’s one of my wife’s hobbies and I’ve found many cheap kits that way. These are always fun builds and are pretty solid kits too.

That is top tier! Really great job! I bet those decals took a long time. Thank you so much. Time wise it isn’t too bad. But it does take a couple days. Because of past experiences, now I do one side, let it dry overnight, other side, let it dry, front/back let it dry…then it’s done. I try to get in a hurry I ended up bumping a wet decal and it all falls apart.
