Step 1 complete just need to change tail number. Now to find the right size T-Rex toy Man. You have all the best project ideas. I love this. Lol. This actually wasn’t one of my plans. Posted the pic as a joke back in early February and forgot all about it. Walking through the show a couple of weeks ago and saw this kit for $5. Couldn’t think of why the markings looked so familiar and then remembered where I had seen them. Couldn’t resist the diorama op.

We now know young Tyrannosaurs were a different shape to the fully-grown beasts, the model is not a 1:35th scale "Infant Tyrannosaurus" but a part-grown critter in a smaller scale... It might work. Cheers, M

I looked at that. The "T-Rex" in the picture is sort of goofy looking and not even remotely realistic so I figure some sort of plastic toy that is a bit more abstract may be more appropriate. If I can't find something then that kit may at least give me a base I could putty up.

Ok, either one of these cries out to be made into a diorama... Oh don't do this to me! Added to the someday list because it would be very cool. May have to run a little free with the truck since I doubt that kit exists beyond expensive resin.

Very, very cool dio idea. Could maybe be done in 1/72 using the truck the U.S. used to lift bombs?

Na, top of the queue, I say, go for it! Patience be dammed.
Ya know, I do have several F4U's in the stash, 1/32 Revell kits with the plastic wrap still on em, from the BX at happy Holloman AFB, HA! I would still need that tow rig, though.

I would still need that tow rig, though. I am not able to figure out what that truck is since with it's single axle and fifth wheel in place it bears no resemblance to any US vehicle I could find. Maybe somebody with more WW2 truck knowledge can tell. I think what I will use as a "close enough to match the picture" will be the tractor from the Airfix recovery set with bits and pieces from the recovery crane. The bomb truck and tractor that I have aren't even close Now... if doing 1/32 and OK with the minor scale difference then there are more options
