Heller does a 1/650 Eiffel tower and there are sources for the aircraft in 1/700... tough to get the decals on those 😋

May have a really hard time finding a Mustang and Messerschmitt in carrier planes!

Ok i bought in on this one, literally! Tom’s planes are pretty great so i got the ME109 and P-51D. Put an offer in on the Heller Eiffel tower so we’ll see what happens there. This will be a great post-NATS fun build. I’m betting I spend more time on the groundwork than anything else, though the time it will take to paint those tiny planes may match it 🤣 gonna need a 🥃 for steady hands 👍

Plus, there were actually several to consider - i found a few cool ones:
Revell actually makes a 3D puzzle! this was really tempting as it’s affordable. Up close though you could see the pieces slotted together.
Revell has a 1/365 i think it was a plastic model. way way unaffordable. Only found 1 and it was near $300 bills.
Heller of course. I think the raw color of the plastic actually looks close to the pic i need to emulate so for that and reasons below i picked it. 
then on Etsy i found someone that does metal Eiffel towers for wedding centerpieces. 3 different colors and sizes from 3” to 28”. These looked super good. In the end tho i thought staying with the plastic model was more appropriate for what we like to do. It was a fun morning just doing searches and looking up facts. I’ve now read a ton of history. Made for an enjoyable vacation day!

Got a cool note back from Tom’s Modelworks, their interested in seeing the final dio! All the major parts have arrived now. Plus i was at the LHS today and found 1 pkg of Fall trees! A little paint to break up the uniform colors and these will be perfect for the park around the tower!

That’s not Brazilian, that’s from the 56th Fighter Group by the codes. 8th Air Force in the ETO. Brazilian aircraft flew in the MTO…

Yes that is an 8th AF plane.

It is also a photoshop. Whoever did the article on the Brazilian plane must not have found the real pictures.
