Man that sucks. Sorry to hear about the Alclad issues. I've heard of problems with them at times. Never tried them though.

I used the Alclad black exactly one time and threw it away. Horrible adhesion, also pulled off after in taped over it plus an inconsistent finish. Had to strip the whole thing in a purple bath and start over. Now I use literally any other gloss black. I am terribly sorry that happened.

Not to worry guys he who has never bungled something has never done anything. I learned a valuable lesson about the black Alcad here and it was much better to learn it on a small, quick project such as this. Had I struggled thru, let's say, the old Monogram B-36 and this happened I'd not be fit for human company for months
