Folks, need some honest feedback/criticism here. I can’t find any clear images online of the real vehicle I am representing. Does this camouflage look too scattered? Meaning, is there too much yellow for the eye to look at? I’m wondering if I should make some of my camouflage mottling more robust, larger if you will. What are your thoughts?

My personal opinion, worth as much as you paid for it, is that it looks ok for field expedient camo, I think you should consider increasing the size of the patches of color. There are several places where it is obvious that it's a single pass of the airbrush. I think that if you increased the size of the patches slightly with more infill, it would be more organic. I am interested to hear other's opinions.

I think they’re too small too. Tomorrow, I’ll pull the airbrush back out and make the mottling larger and more substantial. Here’s a snipet from the color guide.

While you are at it change the shape of one of those "stars" between the intakes just in front of the mantlet. They are very similar and keep drawing my eye right to them.

Depending on the weathering you plan on I would hit the colors again, to me they look alittle washed out. While the camo paint was field applied and thinned with everything from muddy water to deisel fuel, and we are looking at very old black and white photos, I would make them darker then blend into the whole with weathering. Hope this makes sense, had a bad night last night. It does look good, that zimm really settked in with a coat of paint.

Thanks guys! Camo has been bolstered. I’m still not content due to the darkness of the colors. As soon as I put a matte coat on, all the shades will become darker. I think next time I’ll put a little buff into each color to lighten it up. It’ll wash out I reckon after a few filters and various weathering layers. Next I’ll take a thin version of the base color and work my way around the mottles to eliminate some of the overspray.

Better sir. Consider giving it an overall light shot of diluted Tammy Buff; it'll start a dusty look and should lighten it up some

Very nice on the camo, a filter and wash will also tone it down

Just now getting caught up on all the action going on here Chad. I've gotta say that "Take 2" looks alot better in terms of camo pattern size and overall look. I'm no expert on these types of patterns but you're doing a great job in setting the groundwork here. Staying tuned in.......

Howdy friends! Pin wash added. Ready to apply next few layers of weathering. The stark shade difference from pin wash will be evened out later.

Much like pork ribs, the outer wheels need a good rub! In this case, I used the Das Werk polishing compound to simulate worn metal. The more you polish the brighter it gets, so knowing when to stop is key. Of course the little dust hairs will get blown off the wheel before I finish.
