I've got a good number of kits that I'd really like to see on the shelves but the one that really sticks out in my mind is for someone to release a decent Ford Maverick kit. These seem to be the forgotten sports cars in the modeling world these days and the only kits that are out there to represent them are the LONG gone Jo-Han offerings that cost over $300 now to acquire. Such beautiful cars: Someplace around here I have 3 of the promo models of the Maverick. My dad worked at the plant that made them and when they were first released all the kids got one. I of course immediately stole my sister's ones. Two are gold and one is the orange. Pretty sure they are what the Jo-Han kits were based on. You're exactly right Tony. And those are SUPER RARE!!

Well there were thousands of them once. They had a big open house when they started production and there was a mini factory (not to scale) with a conveyor belt constantly bringing out the models. The kids just walked up and grabbed one. I was only 10 or so but can still distinctly remember the smelly, no toothed, old guy screaming "ONLY ONE PER KID" when I tried to grab an orange and a blue one. Oh no now I am going to have flashback nightmares!

It's available if you're willing to pay the price... uk.airfix.com/products/1930-45-litre-bentley-a20440vI always wanted their 1:24th Harrier. I picked one up a few years ago, plus one for a friend. He's a much better modeller than I, so I thought I'd see what he did with his. It's superb, but there's a hell of a lot of aftermarket gone into it. Result: mine's still in the shrink wrap, it should be easier for my executors to dispose of in due course... Cheers, M

Please! I finally got a hold of the Halcyon drop ship...it's pretty rough. I think I'd be better off 3d printing one. They had one for sale at the last show I was at. Only $800. Another one I have which will never get built... The Sulaco might well be though. Cheers, M

Okay I’ll play. 1/48 Aircraft - Saab AJ-37 Viggen (Better than Tarangus) - B-57G w/ Pave Gat - Yokosuka Ginga (Frances) - DeHavilland Hornet - Mitsubishi Ki-83 1/72 Aircraft - Convair Sea Dart - RB-57F - Martin XB-48 Sci-Fi - Last Starfighter Gunstar I 1/72 Now you've got me thinking. How about a 48th SAAB J-32 Lansen. Even a new 72nd would be nice Any new Canberra in both scales I like the XB-48. How about a XB-46 too The Canberra has had rotten luck in 1/48. The Classic airframes kits had lots of bugaboos like undersized tip tanks, a little pip smack in the middle of the goldfish bowl canopy, ribbed rudder, and limited run fit. The Airfix kits came at a time when they were gearing up again, and so they also had lots of issues like cartoon cockpits, incorrect stabilizer attachment points, lack of panel lines/hatches, and overall fat, dull and soft details. And both didn't do a great job of getting the distinctive nacelle fronts right. There is a lot of documentation regarding correct intake bullet styles and the all-important location of the starter vents and such. We really "need" a definitive, highly detailed, and above all correct looking series of Canberra kits. I would dump all my CA and Airfix kits in a heartbeat for a better kit. I only started a CA T.17, and it fought me every inch of the way. I got the airframe together, but it was difficult and not fun. The dodgy main gear attachment points don't give me any confidence of them staying put after all the lead nose weight is stuffed into the model. I don't know. Maybe if I can get the T.17 to the finish line, I'll be able to build a second one with a motor tool and buzz saw in hand. I have a B-57 from both CA and Airfix, but while the Airfix kit is the "G" version, it is as the British say, pants. With Mikro-Mir's XB-51, it seems obvious that they would follow up with the XB-46 and XB-48. If they do, I'll definitely get both! Isn't Tarangus doing a 1/48 Lansen? I thought they were going to do all fighters operated by Flygvapnet (Swedish Air Force).

That is criminally overpriced for such a dodgy kit. Like Halcyon's APC, the base kit can look okay if built well and given a decent paint job. But the details are just bleah. With all the great new-tool kits of old sci-fi movie vehicles coming out now, an accurate 1/72 Drop Ship with a cargo bay would be so sweet. And a separate matching APC kit could be made, although I read somewhere that the two do not actually scale correctly together.

But why? It's not like were talking Babylon 5 stuff. I've actually got twice the number of Special Edition Star Furies than I have of the initial release. Just one of B5 itself though, I didn't think I'd need more. But by now the decals will need a good dose of that reinforcing coating before I'd risk using them... I'll probably do the movie "Jupiter 2" first. Cheers, M

I would LOVE to have plastic kits of the Shadows Battle Crab, Minbari White Star, Kosh's Vorlon transport, and a good old fashioned, ugly as a hammer Earth Force Agamemnon. OK maybe a Shadows Battle Crab could just be FDM printed on an old machine and it would look fine...

- the Minbari Sharlin "Angelfish" Cruiser, and the Centauri and Narn Cruisers, Battlecruisers and Dreadnoughts that appeared on the show. There were small metal wargaming models made by Agents of Gaming, and despite having been OOP for about a couple of decades, I believe they can still be bought: agents-of-gaming.myshopify.com/collections/babylon-5-wars?page=1Regards, M

But yes, I have seen it on sale for 99.99 over here but didn’t pull the trigger. Once day, I imagine I will. Haven’t built anything in that large of a scale before. A lot more obvious when you don’t super detail things. Lol

Great thread! And even better suggestions coming out from everyone. Here's what I would like to see from the manufacturers out there:
1/72 new tool PB4Y Privateer 1/72 F4U-4,-5,-7 and AU-1 Corsair 1/72 (or 1/48) new tool F7F Tigercat 1/72 or 1/48 Sikorsky HH-52 Seaguard USCG 1/72 new tool Martin AM-1 Mauler
1/700 USS Utah BB-31, WWI fit 1/700 USS Salt Lake City CA-25 "Swayback Maru"
1/25 1967 Mercury Cougar
That's it for starters. More will likely come to mind.

Hi All Iwould like to see some more trailers in 1/35 scale for ww2 era ,in fairness Das Werk have done afew ,miniart have just brought out a great looking trailer .but there are so many with, generators, Kompressor s ,radio , I know some a these have been done in resin but the prices are mental. I have my eye on a trailer at the mo ,its costing more than my airbrush compressor .

I have a few that I'd like to see.
In 1/72 scale Aircraft:
-> C-5A Galaxy (we have an An-124, why not a C-5?) -> C-141 Starlifter -> Boeing 747, two versions: One: Space Shuttle transport and Two: Air Force One and other civilian airline decals.
In 1/72 scale Armor:
-> Marine Ontos -> M42 Duster -> M47 Patton -> M198 towed artillery -> Chaparrall AA system -> M247 MLRS -> M50 Super Sherman -> M51 Isherman -> M3 Halftrack variants with 105mm gun and 40mm Bofors guns mounted -> French Ar-44 heavy tank -> Bridgelayer versions of the M48, M60, Chieftain, and Centurion -> British Postwar Antar tank transporters -> Sergent York -> MBT-70
In 1/600 and/or 1/700 scale Ships:
-> Italian Aircraft Carrier Guiseppi Garibaldi -> Italian modern helicopter carrier Vittorio Venetto -> French Aircraft Carriers Foch and Clemeneau (not the Heller kits...too big!) -> French helicopter assault ship Jean D'Arc (not the Heller kit...too big!) -> Cold War era French and Italian missile cruisers and destroyers. -> Russian Kashin, Kara, Kresta, Sverdlov and Kynda cruisers and destroyers -> Russian Ivan Rogov -> British Queen Elizabeth Aircraft Carrier (newest one) -> Any British Colossus and Majestic class aircraft carriers.
That's all I have for now; more to come later I guess as they come to mind

Aha. I have realized due entirely to my lack of functional Brian cells that I have misunderstood the intent of this thread. I am not too bright. So while disregarding my previous post I’ll throw in a
1/24 or 1/25 scale modern sprint car, instead of the same old molds repopped from the beginning of time with new decals, a pavement car would be cool too. I’d have put a modern Indycar on here too but Salvino’s is finally taking care of that. A new F1 car from this new ground effect era would be a fun one and the new HyperCars from endurance racing would be welcome too. And I’ve always wanted a scale version of the crew cab 73-87 Chevy pickup. I’m sure there are other auto kits I can’t remember until I remember I want to build them.
In the sci fi world I think some kits from the ships of The Expanse would’ve been nice to have. Could have had a lot of fun weathering those.
I don’t know what else but it’s fun to think about.

Great news about Salvinos Indy car!!!!! Pre-ordered. I’ve got a couple of them preordered. Will definitely build Sato’s car. Always been a big fan. His attitude is infectious. Just have to decide if I want to do Newgarden’s 500 winner or a different scheme.
