Great start. And PE work in 1/72 - you guys are crazy. Had to read up on the M and it's a great read. Jet killers in Zemke's Wolfpack!

All of these details packed into a 1/72nd scale project. I've always thought of the later models of the P-47 to be the most attractive of the bunch with the bubble canopy and all. I'm looking forward to seeing you pull of that paint scheme. That's gonna look killer!!!

Great start. Anybody know whose plastic this is? Hobby 2000 just get molds from other companies. Scalemates doesn't show the kit lineage.

Whoa HO HO!!!! Looky what we've got here!!! The paint and camo work on this small scale bird looks just GREAT Rod. Joe Rix has been after me for YEARS to build a 1/72 scale aircraft and I've got my first one acquired. Now I'm just waiting for either some AM or 3D printed engine paneling to hit the market and I'll put it in que for the bench.

Looking great so far! You did a good job with the camo and the natural finish on the underside.

Excellent finish! Revell gets a bad rap pretty often, but they do have some good kits in their lineup. This is one of them.

Rodolpho, it may be too late to change it but the stance of the lnading gear is too vertical, the wheels should be a little more forward. I think this is a fault of the Revell kit if I am remembering correctly. Your model is very well done!

The flat finish and weathered panel lines on this make it look that much better. Great finish to this one!

I reconstructed (with a bit of fear...) the undecarriages in order to have them in a more correct position... What do you think? by Rodolfo Masti, on Flickr by Rodolfo Masti, on Flickr P.s. Looking at the photos, I probably need to position the pneumatics better so that they stick to the ground... hoping not to break anything...

Looks like the photos! I find it amazing how much landing gear angles affect the look of a model. Or maybe it's just me....

Good grief man!!! If you hadn't labeled this as a 1/72nd scale build I would have sworn that it was a 1/48 scale model. The attention to detail you've put into the paint and wear & tear on this bird make for a very convincing outcome Rod. Excellent work and then again on the landing gear position re-work. You put some good effort into this one buddy.
