They have a huge catalogue but very little in stock. Can also be very expensive for common non specialist items from Tamiya etc.
I made a list of things i need for my next project last night and while its all listed, none of its actually in stock. saved me a fortune

I got the distributor wiring and fuel lines installed.  One side of the intakes is done.

Plumbing this engine in 1:1 scale would be a challenge and you did this perfectly with this tiny one. This looks amazing!

I got the engine pretty much done.  After looking at these pictures, I see a need for some washes and touch-up.

James, the gold is Tamiya TS spray.  The grey is Testor's Metalizer.  All the metal(and p/e) are first sprayed with an acid etch primer.  Metal pieces that are going to be black are only sprayed with a direct-to-metal automotive black.  For hand painting I've got a selection of Tamiya acrylic and LP paints.

Thank you very much guys.  I said it before and I'll say it again.  90% of the credit goes to the kit.  I'm only claiming 10% for assembling it.  But you can see why I'm so crazy for these kits.


I started the day working on the front suspension.  Then a glamour shot.  






Then I detailed the brake calipers and finished off the suspension.






I also got the wheels and tires done.

Ah, say what you will about it being the kit Paul, but your beautiful paint work and clean use of the kit brings you more credit than you say. More gorgeous work here, my friend. This is coming along nicely.

Very interesting, you see these top market kits but it takes an excellent thread like this to show what you are paying for so thanks for posting .

Like kyledehart5 said, you can say what you want about it being the kit and all but somebody's gotta put all those parts in motion and paint 'em up. Very nicely detailed and put together. LOTS of detail in that kit.

Thanks Paddy.  Yes, they are expensive.  But IMHO, they are worth every penny.

Spent a couple of days doing small details like the dash and belts.  Then it was time to get started on the back of the chassis in preparation for the engine.

MFH supplies the kit with white metal aero-quip hoses.  Usually I substitute them with something flexible.  But this time I used them to see how tough it would be.  It wasn't as tough as I imagined.  Not a walk in the park though.

Oh wow! That looks like it would be a challenge to get bent and into the proper position. However, it looks awesome installed on the engine. Your drivetrain assembly is a model by itself and would not look out of place on the shelf without a car. Beautiful work as usual.
