I used the excellent Wolf Models conversion kit: www.wolfmodel.de/conversion/conversion.html and yes on the draw decals.

I've had my eye on that and their BT-67 DC3 (USFS used a turbo DC-3 for the smokejumpers until around 2010) conversion for sometime, but I've been trying really hard not to add to the stash until I actually finish something.

I've got the Lonestar Models F7F Tigercat resin and draw decals and the old AMT kit to do a fire bomber conversion.
AMP does a 1/144 DC-10, 1/144 Dash 8 Q400, MD-87 fire bombers/tankers. So tempted.
