Brought up the site this morning....thought I was in the wrong place. That banner looks GREAT.
Right! I was all "what the hell?", until I remembered that we had planned this. Nice work guys!

When I’m logged in each end of the banner is cut off. When I’m logged out it fills my whole screen like normal? I use an iPad to use and view the forum 99% of the time.   |

Well that is very odd. On my iPhone, with the mobile desktop version turned on I get the chopped off version myself, but I haven’t tried to view it logged out to see if it changes. I’d imagine mine would too. There is a lot more information shown on the banner when you’re logged in so I’m sure it just squishes it up some more.

I don't know what yall think, but this latest configuration looks like a winner to me, the GI with the cup. Yall decide, yall have done the work, so let's not get too wrapped up in a vote or things like that. Admin, we trust yall! I'm sure glad I don't have one of them there new-fangled phones, stickin with my PC and my "flip phone", HA!
I noticed the forum had stretched across my screen. Great work, MSC Crew! Joe, fine job, buddy!
P.S. Lyle, that's a pretty slick idea. Anything we can do to get the kids off the "stupid" phones and into "sniffin paint and gluin them fingers together", the better. Great idea!

I haven't been posting as much today but as some of you may have noticed, there are changes going on in the header this weekend. I've spent a good amount of time between yesterday and today to provide some QR codes to two of our vendors and am still have some plans for their ads in the works. After listening to some feedback over the last few months and more recently in the last couple of days, I've also incorporated different silhouettes at the bottom of the header to let whoever runs across this site know that we build about everything here. At first glance MSC looks like a military site only when in fact it's much more than that so we just wanted to change the first impressions of the forum content some.
There are more changes coming and I've already reached out to a couple of folks here for not only their input but their help as well. Stay tuned folks......there's more coming.

What happened to the logo? There was some feeling that he still made the forum look too military oriented. Not sure the new direction but the one we have is a temp banner while work continues. |
