The pilot figure looks great! Jeez he looks so cramped inside the tiny cockpit… including the figure inside is a good way to remind us that.

The antenna fit on airplanes with the blown hood was different than on the flat canopy types. While the flat canopy antenna stayed tight when the canopy was open, the blown hood mechanism for the antenna caused the antenna to become slack when open. From the Squadron Fw 190D Walkaround book, a pretty good resource. ![](https://i.postimg.cc/9Mvt35Qh/190antenna.jpg) And that is why I’m doing a closed blown canopy! The flat canopy has a pulley system to work with the tensioning device. I wonder what the blown canopy antenna attachment looked like? The Me-262 had a simple loop that attached via a “J” hook secured to the rear canopy frame. That's good to know John! Thanks for posting this!

Good to see you getting into your build Neal. Looks as though the fit is sound so far. That is an unfortunate dilemma with the pilot. Not sure which way I'd go with it.

Some great detail at the back part of that engine assy Neal. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the pit and that pilot figure. Man.....these frickin' D-9's are HOT! A truly beautiful aircraft.

Pilot in or out is kind of a hard call on a FW190. Either way it's tough to see much of the cockpit. It looks like you are cruising right along!

Thanks for the encouragement, guys! Tomorrow is "hobby day" at my house, so I'll push the Dora along, in between serving drinks to my friends.
