very nice painting Dan. To be honest I liked the first scheme better....mainly because it show rust better....LOL

I can see what Scratch means, a single colour is great for showing rust and weathering but that 3 tone splinter is so cool it just has to be done

I have made a start on the weathering not totally happy but im trying a few techniques i have not had a go at yet so this is now turning into a training kit me thinks!!! lol it may turn out ok in the end. Right after the enamel washes had dried i used Adam wilders Speckle technique with a range of rust colours Buff and black then i used AK rust streaks and streaking grime in small areas then using Tamiya buff heavily thinned for dust then thinning it even more rainmarks this im not happy with so some correction will be needed on this next. Hi mate, not looking too bad at all I'd say. Wanted to try that speckle method for a while now because it gives a great result (I've seen it on his Panther F I think) and Guy has performed it as well. I think you did a great job on that as well. The buff method is a rewarding one. The rainmarks are a bit too pronounced on the turret indeed, but as you said, nothing that can't be corrected. I think you are heading in the right direction mate Cheers
