EDIT - changing this thread up a bit. Going to make it a catchall for all of my 190 GB builds instead of making separate logs.
Update below!

I opened up the plastic bags to see what things look like, but am not letting myself start working on this guy until my (now two weeks late) Panther GB entry is finished. It will be done soon, I hope? Let's see if the power stays on this weekend! It certainly looks like a nice kit. Pics to come. Looking forward to this Marc.

Well, you're doing better than me Marc. I have not been able to resist dabbling a little bit on my Ta 152 for the 190 GB. But, I really need to follow your lead and turn my attention back on to my Panther. I hope at least .

Cracking into my first kit for the GB. Forgot I had this 1/144 Dual D-9 kit hiding in the stash - decided to dig it out! This thing is tiny (not three inches wide or long) but the detail is exquisite.

Hahaha, TJ. Handling this little guy is difficult, at best. I feel like I'm going to break something every time I pick it up! Fit was fantastic, though. Everything is together, or in painting subassembly form. My next trick will be to figure out how to paint or mask that canopy...

I think my eyes would never uncross if I attempted this one. Watching to see how you handle the paint work on this it looks like a challenge!

I think my eyes would never uncross if I attempted this one. Watching to see how you handle the paint work on this it looks like a challenge! I have a good enough handle on my airbrushing skills to paint it (I think?). The mottling might be slightly tricky. Don't know if I'll need to brush that or not. The real challenge will be not breaking it every time I touch it!

Incredible work. So tiny. Some of the pieces on this thing...one wrong slip of the fingers (or blast with the airbrush) and they're going to be gone forever. SO SMALL

I will admit that this is not the most fun I've ever had modeling...but the canopy is masked! Time to start painting.

Got the canopy masked, and cockpit painted up. Time to start painting for real! Grains of carnaroli and basmati rice for scale (I didn't have any open wild or yellow, haha).

For as small this is the fuselage detail stands out really well It really does. I'm going to have to go easy with the paint to have a chance of keeping those panel lines intact! Color coat, gloss, decals, flat, wash...it's going to be tight.
