Nice work, Rod, very clean and detailed. The year surely was 1943?

That is an excellent kit and subject to choose Rod. I will be very interested to watch you build this particular kit for sure. You have certainly done a stellar piece of work on the cockpit so far.

It's great to see you back with this!!! I used a Montex set for a Birdcage conversion on a Corsair. I remember the masks being really thick and stretchy almost like electrical tape making it really hard to place them correctly.

That’s some nice progress there. I had some adhesion issues with my montex masks on my fw190 as well. Had to supplement with some Tamiya.

Looking good! Keep a eye on them masks they will continuely lift. Montex makes good vinyl masks for markings but their canopy masks can't compete with eduard kabuki tape

That cockpit looks stellar! You're having the same issues I have with Montex...they don't like to stay down over any curved surfaces. That's a big of a bummer, because I have a LOT of them. Wish they were kabuki tape instead of vinyl.

Nice little peep shot of the interior along with the good paint work going on and you're making some very good progress with this one Rod. These 189's really were some pretty cool aircraft.

I agree. 189s are cool. And it looks great in the traditional camo. But I love me a winter camo and look forward to that.
