Well Cheyenne, I thought I'd seen most of the themes in Dio's, but this is one for the book. Simply awesome work and attention to detail, I've got it bookmarked. If I may add one piece of constructive observation, (and you're probably on to this anyway), the weathering of the interior is superb, I've never seen better, but the floor and the seats appear to be new. I hope I've caused no offence, because you are one of the most skilled Dio builders I have ever seen.

Dodgy , no problem man , on Feb. 7th , the post revealing the diner interior had this in the write up intro before the pics.
" Still need to weather the walls ,floor etc , I did weather the Great White mural and the long shades over the front windows . "

Ok , small update . Still needs weathering . The cowboys shooting pool on horseback in the saloon is a painting by Arnold Friberg , look him up , amazing artist . The dart board is a tad oversized , couldn't shrink the print down any more , well actually I could but the next smaller size was way too small . The glass behind the bar is real , taken from an old makeup compact my daughter left in the medicine cabinet . This decor is actually typical of B grade drinking establishments here on L.B.I. The eclectic , diverse decorations are usually put up and left there , some going back fifty years or more . All have shore based themes though . The Friberg print [ although huge in my build ] is actually in one of my favorite watering holes to this day but it's only about two feet by three feet . postimg.cc/HchvFbss] postimg.cc/KKVn2fLV] postimg.cc/DmQbjnCR] postimg.cc/3W3R60b7] postimg.cc/CRsrctZw] postimg.cc/T5TJ529m] postimg.cc/YhYtCpP8] postimg.cc/qzJd488B] postimg.cc/21WGttV1] postimg.cc/PpJ8gL2S] postimg.cc/jDRCVwjy] postimg.cc/5Qq1pgLT] postimg.cc/ZCQZHWdT] postimg.cc/R6pbmH9h] postimg.cc/grwgRrmy] postimg.cc/tYQNx5ry] postimg.cc/8Jvrk8gv]

Once the lid is on it and the lights are down low it'll definitely look like a standard bar.

Love it, love it, love it Glenn! This looks just like my VFW post, which is definitely a "B grade drinking establishment"! Your skill and talent for detail are overwhelming. Everything is so perfectly built to scale. Excellent man!

I read that, but it clearly didn't register. My apologies mate. Awesome, awesome work. So detailed, so imaginative.

I'm up at 5 every morning and I'm retired! It's just my schedule. I'm retired Army. I get more done in the early morning when everybody else is still asleep and can't bother me.

Well, boy howdy...you are hitting this one out of the park. But, judging from this work, you do that with great regularity! Man, this is neat.

I'm in my seventies and ever since I was a kid I've been getting up at 4am . Back in the day even if I partied till 2 or 3 in the morning I still woke up at 4am , hangover or not . Matt's right I get everything done , food shopping , Home Depot etc. while everyone else is still asleep , no crowds . However I do take a wee siesta between 2pm and 5pm . postimages.org/] youtu.be/PKAGYj3DX2o?si=MceWx20bKUEoTmnQ

I like getting up and getting a lot of the things I need to get done for the day out of the way before the mainstream day starts. I'm a big fan of the siesta in the afternoon as well.
