Apologies all around for my lengthy absence...my job is exponentially more difficult from May - September than the rest of the year (seasonal business). I haven't had a day off since before Memorial Day. I'm past the peak, now, but am due to lose my summer employees over the next two weeks. Not quite out of the woods yet. I've been sticking a few parts on things here and there, but haven't finished a model since the Seehund. I'm REALLY hoping to change that soon. Going to try to focus on some bench time this weekend if I can. Shoot, I've got some group builds to work on! I feel woefully behind on everything that's happened on the forum. I don't think there's any way I'll ever catch up, but I'll try to stay current, at least. So much outstanding work. Good to see you Marc! I was just chatting with Joe not long ago about you and he said your summers are crazy busy. It sounds like this one was no exception. Don't stress about here you have your hands full. Indeed...they're all like this. It's almost time for me to sell the business so I can get my life back! No bench time means I'm also not getting time with my boy...he isn't going to be ten forever.

Hopefully you can get some time soon at the bench and just some time to RELAX. Sounds like a stressful deal. Take care Stressful indeed. Every year I get sick when things finally get completely overwhelming - that happened two days ago. Just trying to survive this week at this point.

Take care of yourself! I worked at a small seasonal business for 5 seasons. 7 days a week from May to September. Of course, I was 18 and the business wasn’t mine, so I loved the money and the stress was mostly on somebody else. By the end he was trying to give me a lot more responsibility and 22/23 year old me wasn’t up to it. I had to bail for my own sanity. So get to feeling better and I hope the season winds down and you can get a break.

Hahaha

Marc, sounds like some of the landscaping businesses down here. They seem to go 7 days a week. But down here there is no off season. Grass gets cut 12 months a year. I'm not sure how they do it. In one of the larger communities I deliver mail to the landscapers are there every day I am.

Hahaha Same thing I’m still doing!! Painting parking lots and roadway. Only I ended up at a much bigger company. More pay, more benefits, more time off, except for the out of state stuff we do here. My old boss was trying to grow into a full scale 1 stop shop for property maintenance. So we ended up landscaping, doing crack fill and seal coating, painting the lots and doing snow removal in winter. Let me tell you, when I was a kid I never dreamed I’d be a parking lot striper. 🤦🏻♂️🤣
