This beastie may be fighting you, but it certainly looks as though you have the upper hand on this one. I've got this same build for this GB, so thank you for the SBS and helping with pointing out the pitfalls. Amazing work you have presented here!

Thanks, Dave! If there is one area I would point to as the most problematic it's that firewall, fuselage, IP joint. That seems to be an issue for everyone and I should have read more earlier about that. You really need to make sure top of the firewall part is down level with the fuselage halves so that the windscreen fits correctly. The earlier this is addressed the better. Not exactly sure of the best way but what I had to do was a PITA.

Jay - Looks great so far. I would have thought the 1/32 might be a better fit than the disaster ZM 1/48 TA that I just had to cut my losses and move on. Well done so far buddy. Dig your heals in and walk it home.

Sorry for the lack of updates but have been dealing with a bunch of work nonsense. I was suspended but the good news is lots of time to model for now. Have been working on it though. Pretty much done painting and decals. The crosses and fuselage bands are masked and painted, the rest decals. I like the ZM decals, and they give you fuselage numbers for a bunch of different ones. I chose "Yellow 2" for no particular reason. I used the picture from the EagleCals website as a painting guide.

Work nonsense is the worst nonsense. Have to go but then someone drops some drama on you when you just want to pay some bills and afford a hobby. I hate it.

On the more positive side of things, great work!! Painting and decaling look wonderful!

I would be hard pressed to see that you had a fitment issue with this Jay. So very well done and a gorgeous paint job on top. The markings are just the icing on the cake. I hope the work drama sorts out for you

I guess I'm done. It's possible I might tweak a couple of paint things but not sure yet. I'm not sure I can recommend this kit with all the fit issues but if you get through them it looks pretty good. I had issues right up until the end, fighting with the canopy haha.

 I'll echo these same thoughts on this outstanding completion Jay!! I have this same kit in my stash and after seeing M1Carbine and you take this one on I have seen the issues that this kit surprisingly presents being a ZM kit. You have definitely managed to mitigate the problem areas of this kit in good fashion as seen in this fantastic finish. I can't thank you enough for being a part of this group build Jay and again thank you for coming to this forum. Your presence as well as your work here are truly appreciated.
