I've had a couple of MPM kits before and although they were cool subjects.....I passed on them and opted for easier alternatives. I am indeed looking forward to seeing what you do with this one Lyle.

May get a few pictures a bit later this morning. Just got the wings, horizontal stabs and the rudder attached. I've never seen a veryical stabilizer done like this. MPM does not like crating attachment help at all.

This is great to watch. Thank you for the pics Lyle, I still think you are doing a fantastic job given the difficulty of this kit. Keep it coming my friend!

Never heard of MPM models before; this one looks meaner than the ESCI I'm working on now. You're doing well at keeping it aligned which is important at this stage and if I could offer any advice it'd be three words: Vallejo Plastic Putty. It'll make life much more enjoyable when it comes time to fill seams and uglies

I've built a number of early MPM kits and they do require patience. The worst one was their 1/72 XP-47H. Not all that hard to build, but not very accurate either. The 1/48 P-63 had fit issues and was difficult to get together straight but looks great once done. This DC-2 is kind of in the middle. I usually put tape on both sides of seams when using something like Tamiya putty or super glue. Once there is enough strength in the joint Perfect Plastic Putty is the go to, really nice to work with if strength is not an issue.

I just can’t rember to do that with seams.
