I too have the Alabama tuck away in storage waiting a restoration. I built it in college and it survived a few years until it took a full broadside from the 12lb cat and was dismasted.

I finished this Constitution after a seven year build. I am now building a case for it.

On behalf of the UK based member(s)**....Welcome aboard Scott! Those ships are stunning and well done for taking on all that rigging. VERY impressive indeed.
All the best.

Welcome Scott your ships are truly works of art. I too, like many others here, am a refugee from FSM. Chalk and cheese mate, chalk and cheese.

WOW! Those are some beautiful tall ships. I have a 1/144 Cutty Sark and a !/72 Golden Hind in the stash but I'm too chicken to tackle them!
Welcome to MSC!

Stuart Sincerest apologies!! Completely missed you joining.....for various reasons I've not had much time on here since the New Year, so a VERY belated welcome. As for where I'm from....I grew up the Luton/Dunstable area, spent almost a decade in London before moving to a place I'm sure you've heard of as you're from Bucks.......suffice to say we have a small herd of concrete cows and a LOT of roundabouts!! Whereabout in North Wales are you? Spent a great holiday up that way year before last. ATB Andrew

No worries - that's no problem.
MK!!! woohoo - have they pulled down the red-triangle yet? We used to live in Tingewick so we know MK well, my daughter went to school there for a bit before going to 6th form in Towcester.
We moved up to the Colwyn Bay/Llandudno area - not a bad place, although busy in the silly season. We mainly moved up for my son's schooling - he's Autistic and the special schools are very good here.
Cheers!
Stuart

That old kit is awesome, but not exactly conducive to easy building for a sausage fingered kinda guy like me. My wife would have to rescue me from the rigging, HA!

So you are very familiar with MK then!!! We're on the NW corner, so a short walk and we're in the countryside walking along the canal but less than a 10 minute drive from the centre. It may not be perfect but we like it. I hope you son's schooling is working out. My experience with autism is very limited, the closest I get is my wife's cousin's daughter...suffice to say they do not have it easy. Just a shame you had to move to get a decent school though. ATB Andrew
