During the week I’ve been working on this one. I painted up the resin replacement wheels and finished that up today. Then I airbrushed on a gloss coat getting this ready for decals  Then I had to do some test fitting of the resin replacement wheels   Getting this one closer to the finish line |

Kyle and. Rent, thank you. Brent, this is gonna be stowed and weathered to look like the ones used in OIF during the drive to Bagdhad in 2003, the only combat that these things engaged in. So a bit of light mud and plenty of dust  |

Like I said Kyle, blink and you miss the markings Today was some good progress. First up I airbrushed on a flat coat. Then I started detail painting items, removed the masking off of the turret windows, and lastly added the air ID panel onto the rear deck…   A few more bench sessions and I should be able to finish this one up |

Had a day off today, so I was able to take advantage of that and get in some bench time on this. And I was able to reach a major milestone by getting the wheels attached finally. I also started weathering the hull before installing the wheels.   more to come soon…. |

And yes, a real one would be great to have in days of heavy traffic 😏 As my route to the cottage takes me right past where the LAV VI are built I drive around these things pretty much every weekend through the summer. They are imposing coming up in your mirror.  However people are dumb and the number of drivers that tailgate, cut them off or drive in their (significant) blind spots is mind numbing.  |
