I appreciate the vote of confidence Real G but this one is the HobbyBoss kit.  That Hobbycraft kit was the first 1/48 MiG-17 I remember, and recall seeing one done in some modeling magazine, circa early '90s I guess.  I remember that the builder had painted it as the mythical Col. Tombs's (sp?) mount with a multi-green camo.   That model also bore the 3020 number; which actually was a MiG-17F piloted by two different NVAF aces, including Le Hai. 😊

Aw, it's an easy mistake to make, those names are so similar. 😊   But yeah, I do think the HobbyBoss kit has a step or two on that old HC kit.   But hey, I'm not knocking HC as I've built several of their kits and probably will again! 😃
