So I was given this kit, slightly started by a friend from the internet. He had the engine built and painted, chassis painted, body primed, interior partially built. I decided I’d finish it off. Still just doing some simple builds due to time constraints so this will be OOB except for trying to correct wheel fitment. I’ll have more updates soon but here’s a start. Body painted in scalefinishes Lime Gold.

Very Nice! Is that the "Bullitt" Mustang? I believe that it was that color?

"Lime Gold" - I'm assuming that was an authentic color for this vehicle? I need to look up Scale Finishes.

They don't mention specifically what their paints are anywhere. Are they lacquers? Or enamels?

Nice body design. I’m sure you’ll do an excellent job taking this one over the finish line.

Very Nice! Is that the "Bullitt" Mustang? I believe that it was that color? Bullitt car was highland green I believe. A darker green. And thank you! Neat. The wife had a 70 302 for a while..before we married. Not a huge Mustang guy but a ‘70 with a 302 sounds pretty sweet. "Lime Gold" - I'm assuming that was an authentic color for this vehicle? I need to look up Scale Finishes. Authentic 1967 mustang color. I love scale finishes. They don't mention specifically what their paints are anywhere. Are they lacquers? Or enamels? Your choice! Gloss enamel or base coat lacquer. There should be a drop down menu when you’re looking at adding the paint to your cart. This is the base coat lacquer but I’ve sprayed both and they both lay down great. Nice body design. I’m sure you’ll do an excellent job taking this one over the finish line. Thank you very much! Thanks!! It was probably my favorite of the 1967 mustang colors. Although they had a few other great ones too.

I'll be dialed in on this one for sure!! A very good color selection Kyle and it looks great on there. Did the guy who started it already do all of the suspension mods to get the stance and wheel/ tires in the right place?

Pretty sure that every other '67 mustang sold in this area was that colour. Still a couple of them kicking around that I see from time to time. Looks GREAT so far.

I'll be dialed in on this one for sure!! A very good color selection Kyle and it looks great on there. Did the guy who started it already do all of the suspension mods to get the stance and wheel/ tires in the right place? Oh no. All he did was glue the front and rear body pieces on and build the engine. He left the fun parts for me. lol. Pretty sure that every other '67 mustang sold in this area was that colour. Still a couple of them kicking around that I see from time to time. Looks GREAT so far. Thank you!! Not one we see around here in Indiana too often. Lots of white, red and black here when I see them. Just like all the other old muscle cars running around here. Very nice,my first car was a 1971 in a similar green Thanks! A good green for any year mustang. Very nice looking paint Kyle Thank you Paul! Pretty sure that every other '67 mustang sold in this area was that colour. Still a couple of them kicking around that I see from time to time. Looks GREAT so far. I must've had one of the "every other" ones. lol Man Joe, that’s a pretty sweet ride Following on this one Kyle. Love the paint on this! Thank you Brent! Yeah that’s the perfect color for this one.☝️ Thank you very much.

The 289's in these kits builds up pretty well. I wasn't a "fan" of the fan they included in the kit so I swapped out a PE one in mine.

I’m basically leaving what he did there and I’ve just added some weathering. Going to be a nice “driver” I’ve done some chassis weathering as well. I’ll have more photos soon. This looks exactly like the 390 GT that my coworker restored from ground up. Looking sweet Thanks! Those 390s were a bit more serious than my little 289 in this. Lol.

The scale finishes paint looks great, Kyle! I am going to try them soon. This is the kit in black plastic isn't it? I know that was the one that Joe built and did a terrific job on. Mine remains in the closet because mine wouldn't compare and I really don't like black plastic. Good luck with your build!

Mine was molded in lovely Racing Champions/Ertl grayish tan. I think those guys just used whatever they had and came up with a different horrible shade every time.
