While reading a thread on here today I just noticed some people have awards shown a little way down from their username. What's the story with these? Are they similar to karma?
Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere. Just curious about them.

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere. Just curious about them. We are in the process of adding this new functionality to the forums. I installed and started configuring it this morning. The intent is to give people an "award" that appears in your profile for various accomplishments, such as having your build chosen for the outstanding build of the week or if you win the soon-to-be-launched model of the month competition. If you hover your mouse over the award icon, you can see why it was awarded. We'll have awards for various Karma milestones or members who go above and beyond to help another member, etc... I'm open to hearing ideas for possible awards. |

What a great idea! I don’t know if I’ll ever get a MoM or the weekly build, but I hope you have some for “Putting on under wear without falling down”. I’ve almost got a lock on that!

He is the grizzled old veteran of the forum so of course he has more medals! Don't think there are many of us here that expect participation medals.  |
