Interesting question. I think you'd have to think like the crew. How many times have they done this? Do they favor a quick get away, or have they found that they usually have plenty of time to relocate and therefore don't take issue with having the carriage tucked a bit out of the way?

I think the answer depends on how you wish to portray them as a crew.

To be honest I don't think either option would be wrong at all. We can all see this is going to be outstanding regardless.

I bought the complete set of AK Interactive Weather Pencils. They are really good, you can blend them dry or wet them and blend layers. I highlighted the stones and rock on my scenic base and started to add dust effects to blend the gun base in.

A. B is off balance with the tree and too much of a straight line. The crew would not want to pull it towards an obstacle so angled away makes sense.

The highlighting work you did with the pencils really made the base spring to life

I have weather his uniform, have I over done it, just about right or more needed?

The beauty of the weather pencils is you can remove and well as add. Then when you are happy lock it in with a light coat of matt varnish.

Figures mounted on the base, I still have one figure to make and I am thinking about having him pulling the muzzle cover off the end of the barrel.

Still lots of work to do for weathering, detailing etc.

Lines up pretty much with the first pic on page one! Brilliant - I've always wanted to build an 88. How did the kit go together?

The Tamiya kit is great but needs the PE to bring it up to date. If I were to do it again I think I would go with the Dragon kit as all the detail is included with this kit.

This is looking real good and the weathering looks fine. Maybe a bit of pigment dusting on the boots, but all else looks good from here.

This last figure really brings the action to the Diorama and gives it life. I am now on the final phase adding the small details and weathering.

The guy pulling off the bore cap really caps off the action. Each figure truely shows the action of emplacing a gun in a hurry when the enemy is near. Organized, well drilled hustle and chaos.

Watching this come together one piece at a time has been wonderful. The way you sculpted figures to show the exact action you wanted them to be doing in this diorama was masterful. Each piece of the diorama was done so very well.
