All great looking builds Gary. I'm with you on the early jets. Just something about 'em Thanks, Johnny! ๐ Much appreciated, I assure ya! As a '50s model myself, I just love those old classics too.

Dang, Gary, these ramp pics are excellent, great kit work, too. I always wondered why the pylons on the F84 hung so low until I figured the retraction of the landing gears might interfere with the drop tanks. Still, rather close when landing, imo, very close to the ramp. But, nothing is as low to the ground as an A-37 and their load.
Awesome work, Gary!

Thanks again, Keith! That is a great compliment and one that I do appreciate (your own work in NMF is peerless in my opinion!)! I got a bit lucky with the Humbrol Metal-Cote, although it was my third choice at least, it is great enamel all the same and has never let me down yet. ๐

Steve, thanks so much for the compliments! ๐ That is very kind of you to say and I agree with your observation, that is some low-yo-yo stuff! ๐

That's pretty darn cool Gary. I've done the F a couple times - last one didn't survive the move so I'll have to do another. I've never done the E, but I do like the look of the straight wing bird. Interesting that it's basically a totally different bird from the F but they kept the F-84 number.

Thank you, John! ๐ I appreciate that. ๐ Yeah, the F model is one of my favorites from that era and you're right, it's so different from the plank-wing birds, it should've had its own designation, I guess. Like yourself, I built the F model long before I tackled the earlier version. Here's a peak at my Monogram kit, built long ago now.

Very nice. This is my Hobby Boss F-84F that did not survive the move from San Diego to AZ. Nice kit though - I'll build another.

Actually the F did have a different designation from the F-84. It was originally the XF-96. But then for political/budgetary reasons, it was changed to F-84F during development. Instead of a โnewโ aircraft, it was now a development of an existing type.

Fantastic work all around ! SnJ wow I miss that paint. Thanks, so much! ๐ I sure wish I could've used that stuff on this one, but the Humbrol did okay as a "stand in". ๐ I plan to try some of the newer lacquer and acrylic metallics soon!
