Well l would love to take credit for technique but most of the praise needs to go to whoever sculpted that mold. The details are exquisite. There is about 15 minutes total work put into painting and washing that head. The rest of the body detail ranges from OK to pretty good but the head is the molding star. I was just thinking about this build yesterday Tony. You got any updates on this modern art masterpiece? No update yet. With my two long weekends at the cottage, opening up my pool and clearing away the winter debris I have had no bench time. Probably have an up date next week.

Almost there. He now has a head and all his actuators installed. Whole thing washed with tinted Future to make details pop in the monochromatic finish.

Great work, Tony. Very cool subject. Love how the wash brings out the details.

Great work, Tony. Very cool subject. Love how the wash brings out the details. Thanks. It is very difficult trying to get a picture that shows the effect well. To much light it all get's washed out by reflection but not enough and it doesn't show the shine of the finish.

I really like the way your wash makes the fine detail stand out on the paint work you put on this

Very impressive turn out with that tinted Future application Tony. You've got this looking a ton better than it would've with the OOB pose!! Beautiful work so far bud.

I am hoping that once I get a base made I can get some outside natural light shots that show the metallic finish more accurately. The pose is made so much better just by the slight angle to the head and all the limbs not being straight up and down.

WOW, I think I paid south of a $10 bill for mine back when it came out. Tcoat your kit looks fabulous! Now if only Bandai did one in 1/12 scale, with those slide-molded single piece frames.

Sometimes easy to forget that the kit was released over 30 years ago and would have been dirt cheap (by todays standard) then. This one is pretty good but a modern kit in a larger scale would rock.
