I built this Dragon 1/144 K5 Railway Gun "Leopold" for our Son-in-law. He bought it and asked me to do it for him a few years ago. It didn't turn out the best but he was happy with it. Heck I'd be happy with that result myself Brent. I hear what you're saying about the recipient being happy with it though. I built a good friend of mine a Revell Corsair a few years back and that guy was on "Cloud 9" when I gave it to ol' Pat. To me.....the kit was a basket case but it was a true gem to him.

Dammit! Now this thread has me thinking of other 1/35 rail kits for possible purchase and projects…🤨

😂😂😂
Yeah, those would be nice… but a bit too big for my display area, and a bit too costly for my budget. I’ve seen the 1/35 Dora in person when it was a fairly new release, built by a guy in my old IPMS Chapter. Man that thing was BIG!

I have too many big kits to get into this right now, but I will float an idea I had out there. A locomotive partially on a collapsed bridge with front end submerged in water( clear/ tinted resin/ epoxy). The rust/ damage possibilities would be endless.
