Kurtis Midget Racer with haul truck and trailer

Been working on it all week and finished up the midget. Up next is the trailer and then a AMT 50 Chevy pickup to haul it.
Not sure if I'm allowed to show build pictures of the truck in this section.

Oh yeah. Post away with the truck and trailer. We want to see the whole rig. Stunning work on the midget! That is gorgeous!!

Since the actual open wheel race car is complete, I’m going to go ahead and put the midget in the completed thread. Then I’ll add a couple more photos once you have the full race team so then we’ll get the full effect.

Just an outstanding job on building that midget. The paint and decaling looks absolutely perfect.

I haven't seen one of these built up as of yet so this is a real treat to get to see one that's finished in such good fashion as this Mike. Excellent work on that black paint job and all of the details buddy. What did you use for clea......WAIT.....Lemme guess.....Wet Look Clear?? That stuff is pure magic aint it?

Thanks Joe. Yeah its good old wet look. The only other clear that is better then that would be 2K.  Don't really like using that stuff.

Ah the venerable old AMT ‘50 Chevy. I have one of these in its latest iteration. Always looks nice built up.

I been working on the 50 pickup and so far I got the engine and chassis completed.

This one is already starting off swell Mike. I love seeing these six bangers in these trucks. I haven't built a vehicle with a six in it yet but may try my hand at one after seeing this.

Chassis, motor and drive train look great. Something about the look of an inline 6 - plus they look 10 times easier to work on.

Been working on it the last few nights and got the cab, bed and some other parts painted. I'll leave it sit for a couple days then add the decals and clear coat everything.
