Open wheel reference photos

adrian29341 had an idea to havspot to put cool photos of these cars that we find that could be helpful to people building OR just really awesome to look at. I thought that sounded good so drop any open wheel photos you want right in here.
Here’s a couple I have saved for a future build of a Larousse Lola.

I love this ride, another crazy livery for sure, who does the kit Kyle? I haven't seen it by Tamiya I don't believe

Great idea, which could also be useful is posting your resources, or sources for the photos. Paul (2whl) seems to always have exceptional photos of the kits he builds haha. Knowing where ya'll find them is a good help as well haha.

Thanks for the shout out  James.  Being a race car junkie means I've been saving any picture I come across.  So I have a lot of pictures.(hundreds?)  Lately I've been concentrating on pictures of kits I have.  Most of my latest pictures are from Facebook groups that I belong to.  What's really interesting is that whenever MFH announces a new kit, pictures of that car come up on those groups.   I do have reference pictures of my kits saved on my Fotki page.

Woof, ain't been but a day and we're off and running! The close ups and action shots are awesome and those black and white, outstanding.

I recon we aughta consider start a library thread for armor and wingy dingy thingys, too. I'd say let's start a library thread for figure work, but that would be odd. There's enough people pics in life to fill a million volumes of the Encyclopedia Britanica, HA!

A library resource section added to the main page would not be a bad idea. What do you think, Kyle?

🤣 So the bondo hood is from where we were in a heat race and there was a whole mess in front of us and we ended up with another sprint car on top of us by the time the carnage ended. Got lucky. Just damaged the air filter and punched some holes in the body work. Didn’t bother to re-wrap the hood. Didn’t affect our speed any. Lol.

I'd say let's start a library thread for figure work, but that would be odd.

It might be useful for unusual themes, but even then it can get out of hand.  I keep collecting Steampunk, Post-Apoc, SF & Fantasy "inspirational" stuff (not just for figures) but it's a long time since I last curated the libraries.  There is also duplication where the image fits under more than one heading.




Oh, I nearly forgot the open wheelers...
