The cockpit and engine look to be builds on their own! They are works of art John! I don't blame you for taking a break from the "grind". I've been dragging my feet on my build due to the same thing of making clearance for resin and pe pieces.

Well that all looks incredible!! What awesome details throughout each section! Totally understand taking a break until you’re ready to do a certain task. I do that often myself. lol. Sometimes a part of the build process just doesn’t seem fun.

Thanks for the positive comments and fellow modeler sympathies. I have a pretty good track record of completing builds so I'm confident that I'll get back to this one and finishing it.

What a fantastic job on the cockpit and engine, as well as the rescribing and rivet work. Amazing.

Looks great John. Totally understand shelfing a build for a bit. BTW - looks like the assembly needs to move a couple mm towards the tail. Brilliant details!

Not sure where to begin with my catch-up; panel rivets, engine plumbing and wiring, instrument panel or cockpit detailing. John, Top Tier work all thru this build, and I forgot to mention the flap PE work, woof! Awesome build so far, enjoying this one. And that bump and grind to keep at a project happens to me too, no worries.
P.S. First time I've looked at surf fishing, what a trip. I never saw that when I was growing up in So Cal, pretty wild.

Did a bit of surf fishing in socal having lived there for 40 years or so. You need a big rod 😉 The tuna & yellowtail fishing off the coast and down into Mexico waters is pretty awesome.

Thanks for the positive comments and fellow modeler sympathies. I have a pretty good track record of completing builds so I'm confident that I'll get back to this one and finishing it. First off, this build is coming along just fabulous so far and I hear the blues on the amount of pit detail that is going to be visible due to the curvature of the sides. A bummer but what one can see in there is "all that". Secondly, I definitely understand putting this build on hold and starting something that is a bit......familiar....shall we say? I did the very same thing with the Jo-Han Ford Maverick that I built a few years back as that thing kicked my frickin' tail the whole way with having to figure different parts of the build out at several stages because the base kit was so bad. I dang near graduated that build with an engineering degree! The point is a good break is sometimes needed to back up and regroup. Will be very much looking forward to the return of this one on the work bench when you get back to it John.

Thanks guys! Fishing is another hobby of mine and SCSurfFishing was a forum site that I helped run but has since gone belly-up. We used to have regional get togethers with friendly competition between counties: Los Angeles vs. Orange vs. San Diego. I created the logo for the San Diego team, which I now use as a signature banner. Ahhh... the memories!
