Good Day Folks! Starting another new adventure in model building, this is my first airplane build. It's a Tamiya's Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero Fighter, any tips would be greatly appreciated. -Steven

Ahhhhhhh Steven's gone wingy and you were showing such promise WigWag!!!!!! lol We'll let yer have this one but as soon as it's finished I want yer back in Armour where you belong and no more messing about!!! Plenty of talented wingyists hereabouts to give yer any hints and pointers yer might need :} ;D I am actually planning out my next armour build, I am wanting to do the Dodge WC54 communications vehicle, or something similar. But first will be doing the Willys MB Jeep.

Good Day Folks! I assembled the cockpit, however, not without a few flaws. Has with my first Armour build, this thus far, has been a blast, and fun learning experience, both with the build, and the research about the aircraft. -Steven

Good Day Folks! Made a little more progress, I still don't have my airbrush setup yet, so I had to brush the paint on. I am hoping I will be able to buff out the brush marks, and the weathering will cover up the imperfections. I lost a couple of the small detail pieces, so I will have to make them. Saying that, why is it I can find those little sprue nubs on the floor, but not the little detail pieces. :-) -Steven

Nice work on the Zero , the paint on these was patchy to say the least so polish out the brush marks and go for it on the weathering.. it'll still be cleaner than some of the ones that fought in the PTO

Good Day Folks! Almost done with another fun learning experience. I still need to do some touch-ups and weathering. The carpet monster, ate a few of the detail parts. I am giving this build 2 1/2 out of 5. I took notes, of the flaws, but all in all, I think it came out OK for my first wingie. -Steven

Thanks all for the kind comments, any suggestions for my my next wingie would be greatly appreciated. One thing I learned through research, is not to use any rust effects, as airplanes are made of aluminum.

Are you asking for type of plane or maker? If type I like Corsairs. If maker you can't go wrong with Tamiya. But depending on the aircraft will depend on the maker. Tell us what you think.
