Yeah, they look very good. The Survivors make me to rethink about a Zombie Infestation! Way too beautiful, those gals. And think about their clothes... I would think a little bit more body protection could be useful! But very nice indeed. Hopefully they will create some more Zombies, but more sinister and gruesome!
I totally agree with you - the girls are way to sexy and scantily clad to look like serious zombie hunters. But doing it this way, the company serves two different target groups: Zombie Hunter and sexy girls with guns
If you want some more aggressive looking hunter in 1:24, you may find one from "knight models":
Thomas, yes, I had some KNIGHTMODEL Figures at my desk but, you may wonder, I have sold them, because I was not so satisfied with the castings and overall quality of them. On their site, the figures look like they could be among the best, but in my cases, they weren´t. Lots of the STAR WARS and MARVEL range are sold out at all. But I have plans to sculpt something like Hunk (from the RESIDENT EVIL games) by myself to fullfill my own ideas of a guy dealing in such a world overrun by Zombies. But the pics of KNIGHTMODEL stuff are really mindblowing!
Is it a case of CG rendered images for the box and presentations of those pieces then with the actual cast parts being a lot lower in quality ?
I really can't say, but my DV has a lot of shortcomings both in moulding and in engineering. The fit is all but nice, it requires lots of work that in a 30mm figure isn't easy. The cloak has a lot of bubbles and flash, and this only means the moulds have been overused or are poorly engineered.
The Zombie Girl in my Zombie Hunter Diorama is from Knight Models, and that figure was really good. Just the usual seam line, no bubbles at all. Reason may be, that this figure was not sold so extensively like the 30mm Star Wars stuff and so the moulds are still in good shape...
I have not jet build the special forces soldier, but I know that the single pieces are OK.
The first four figures were at Euro from DWC Dark World Creations: their Dawn of The Apocalaypse Range includes 1/24 car drop in resin Mad max type conversions - Aidey picked up the Mustang version which will no doubt appear here soon - way cool!!!!
DWC were in attendance with their stand at Euro - with the figures and the car conversion kits - the casting quality looks as good as any out there and the painted examples they had on their stand were stunning...there are a whole host of others comin' apparently including male 'hunters' and lots more zombies by all accounts
If yer think yer one in a million, chances are, YOU AIN'T!
