Thanks Luigi I set the Cromwell in a small hollow this will allow for some suspention movement and some other things i have planed. . DSC06015 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. the old leather head pads all bunt and twisted on the hatches. . DSC06012 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. . From under the rear some badgers will appear all the ground work will look much different. . DSC06011 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. I have settled the bow of the vehicle into a forward slope of the hollow. I have also added a dead tree that has been ripped apart from flying shell fragments and metal tank parts. . DSC06010 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. Tree from other side i thought this would add some colour . Rgs to all Mac

Well pushing on with this i have just started the ground work still needs loads of blending and detail work. The area to the front shows some burnt shrubs these will need a tad of ash colour new rich greass shoots are coming up and at the rear the fallen tree stump will be home for the badgers. As said this is the first stage so pleasetake into account much more to come. . DSC06046 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. As pointed out at the beginning this is an old hard target that has seen little main armarment hits and has been taken out of commision for mother nature and here badgers. . DSC06042 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. . T o the rear nature is starting to recover ivy starts to reclaim the old tree. . DSC06041 by macmcconnell, on Flickr.Various grass products have been added. . DSC06043 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. The Badger set under construction well back of to the shed for more work. Rgs Mac +

Thanks guys here is some more. I have continued with the base bit by bit i have started rusting the hatches on the ground added some ash and dirt effects too. . DSC06195 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. .Also added a cheeky 120mm H.E.S.H. round this will be blue as a practice round still needs a little work. . DSC06198 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. I have been adding dust tones to the Badgers set. . DSC06202 by macmcconnell, on Flickr,. I did hope to find some 1/35 Badgers ,but looks like i will have to make them. . DSC06197 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. I still have miles to go on this and keep coming back to it after a few days which i find is the best way when doing dioramas. . DSC06196 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. Well hope to be back soon and thanks again for all the support. Rgs Mac

That is looking beautiful mate and i really mean that. The tank is awsome and so is the groundwork. The addition of a badger set with badgers is gonna be great. Nice touch my friend.

Excellent range target Mac, I doubt you would have many shells lying next to the target because I reckon a chally 2 shell would pass straight through it and carry on into the Dorset countryside Martyn

Thanks guys glad your like it as this stage as it has moved on in leaps and bounds i have now added wild life more greenage and many more hours on the blending of the floor vegitation. That and more micro weathering to the Cromwell is going well,. . DSC06618 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. Baby Badger Mk1 Martyn the shell is a practice round its made of concrete the armoured corps uses them as they are sheaper then the real thing but behave in flight like a real H.E.S.H round BUT DONT DO THE DAMAGE AT THE OTHER END ALLOWING TARGETS TO BE USED LONGER . Also targerts are filled with ash to give of smoke like apperance when hit. Heaven help the happless commander that fires H.E.S.H AT A HARD TARGET Its a big no no only allowed once in a blue moon. Also the speed of the projectile is under 700 mtrs a sec. You tend to find blue prac rounds everywhere as they dont explode. Just a bit of former user Knowledge. The burnt bushes in front of the Cromwell have been set on fire by trace elements in the rear of projectiles. . DSC06576 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. Asn being added to th inside. I will post more pics soon. Rgs Mac

Mac, that baby badger is great. Did you scratchbuilt it or did you buy it?
Interesting info on practice rounds, btw. We've got a target practice ground in southern Sardinia, but as long as I know, they use real ammo there.

Well i have been putting a lot of time into the ground work so i have now gone back to the Cromwell and started the fine detailing. . DSC06642 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. I have started adding AK green streaks and dark washes around the shell holes. . DSC06639 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. Engine bay now also getting wash attention. . DSC06638 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. Air filter pipes are shreded. . DSC06636 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. Well still pushing on with washes and fine detail on the inside and outside which is how i plan to spend this week. I have added to groundwork but i want to keep that for Euro. I forgot to say badgers are scratch built out of green stuff i made the first one with a wire frame that was ok but i found it a lot better to build with out a frame Rgs To All Mac
