Original WW1 German Field Gear (from my collection) and the JSM painted kit parts. The bayonet scabbard in the kit is of an early leather covered style. Both the metal and leather scabbards were used throughout the war.

Lovely work, this really is coming along very well. What suprises me is how small the water bottle is? It doesn't look large enough to fill his mug. Thanks for posting the model shots and the 'real gear' stuff as well. Looking forward to more. Dennis
