Good afternoon,Gentlemen... ;D,as the title infers,I am going to resurrect a project I started on another forum, and that I'm sure I've mentioned here. With the 'office' set up,and the ole 'Moje' kicking in again,I intend to build one A/C example from each of the 4 Squadrons in this FG.There will be a bit of cheating,'cos 3 of these are nearly built already(Shelf Queens ),but there will be a P39,P47D,P51B and D...I did have a P40,but that went to the graveyard when I cleared out!! Pics will follow of the queens, when I've taken them!!!! (Might even look out for a Harvard as well!!) Hope some of you will look in,or help out where necessary Cheers, for looking in ;D ;D

OHHHH! Count me in if you can do a WIP here. Always wanted to do a P-51 from Tuskegee unit one day... If I see Tamiya 1/48 kit, I might grab it if it is pretty good?

Sorry I missed ya last post Neems ...Most remiss of me!!! It won't happen again..Promise Anyway, reason I'm here.....did a bit of paint stripping,so now this... Looks like this... Needs a bit more, but I need more Power spray and layed some more paint on the P51D,and his 'Ickle Bro'...or 'Mini Mustang',if you prefer.... I used Gunze 211 Chrome Silver.Goes on smooth as silk, straight out the bottle ;)and no primer!!!!! The little fella,is the new 1/72 Airfix kit, that Martyn C sent me in exchange for the Mig.... As usual,ACW ;D ;D

Andy,57 Belair asked about stripping paint/chrome plated the other day....the gear I use is Fairy Power spray/Mr Muscle oven cleaner, but it is effective, although it does sometimes take more than one application. I'll repeat the basic process here anyways....Spray over the items with said spray of choice, slip into a ziploc bag for 20-30 mins, remove and scrub with stiff brush(old toothbrush),until clean.Repeat apps if necessary.Hope that helps, mate!!

Dan...sorry mate, missed ya there...Yup!! basic plan is for one base for all, with Squadron emblems etc....but one step at a time,eh?....As for Alclads vs Gunze Metallics...the AC's are better, when used properly, but you know me ....all for the easy life,eh?....and the Gunze can be polished as well!!!!!
