well for resin figs i use epoxy you have a better working time with it then using super glue. some people will drill in pins but not really needed with epoxy. primer i tend to use alclad greay with micro filler.
im no master at fig painting but i would sudjest you get hold of some books and dvds on teh subject if its somthing you are really interested in,

Hiya Dan!! Nice haul buddy!!! Not a huge figure man myself....yet, but what spud was saying is right on track. Epoxy and or CA with the resin definitely. Fire away with any painting questions and I am sure you will get some really great help within these walls!!Our own Chris S. Has some awesome SBS painting guides he has put together along with a few others here with the "steady hand". Looking forward to seeing your progress!!

hi Dan not any real experience with resin, but as far as plastic goes I find you can't beat Vallejo's plastic putty. As soon as its on you can run over it with a water dampened q-tip, or even the mark 1 fingertip. Even if you're coverting a pose so the gap at the surface may be a bit in the wide side, just pop an apporpriately shapped off cut of sprue or similar in place towards the bottom and then use the plastic putty as almost a surface filler. I've got a few pics back home that show the end result- I'll try an get them up by the end of the week. Hope this helps P
