After posting pics of my completed armour and aircraft builds, i couldn't leave out my only helo now could i. I actually built two of these last year, this one for me and a second for a mate at work. But that was identical to this except for the patches and plate. This build was to commemorate both the 30th anniversary of the Falklands conflict, and the 30th anniversary of the formation of the unit i spent the last 5 years of my army career with, JHSU. Thanks for looking.

Thanks Dicky. I was based at Odiham for my last 5 years, and not only got to see them flying, but got to stand underneath them while hovering a couple of fet above our heads, great fun. I was hopeing to get a photo of BN before i left, but didn't get the chance.

Thanks guys.
Chris, i really liked it down there, lovely area. I lived on base as we have our own place in Suffolk. My room wasn't that far from the pan, so they would often rattle the windows as they were taking off.

Great build! Nice camo job! Always wanted to build one of them... wondering if there is a 1/35 scale for this? LOL

Lovely work Bish! It's a bit hard to tell from these photos, but did you do any extra detailing to the kit or is it essentially an out of box build? Either way, she looks lovely! I have always had a bit of a soft spot for the ol' Chook, maybe cos we operate them here in Oz. they are an invaluable piece of kit for our boys! Cheers, Sam

Thanks venom. I added an Eduard PE set, but that was mostly on the interior, cockpit and the seats in the back. The only PE bits on theoutside are the antennas on the left side and the exhaust intake guards.
They certainly are a handy piece of kit to have.

WOW! They do have in 1/35... I have to get them some day. I try to stay within 1/35 for everything even rotory and wingy kits. I started my next build last night... AH-6J... in 1/35 of course. LOL

Thanks for the comments guys. Andy, i like to flit between the two scales, 72nd for aircraft and 35th for armour, but a 35th Chinook would should make a nice looking build.
