Great work so far Joe! I am always a fan of watching your builds unfold! I am a big fan of captured aircraft from both sides of the fence, and have numerous decals of different aircraft. I don't know of any off hand for 1/32 scale (mine are all 1/48 and 1/72), but they would be easy enough to replicate for a man of your talents. Both the Americans and the British generally kept the captured 262's in their "natural" paint scheme and just overpainted the Balkenkreuz and Swastika with a local green or grey, then added their own roundels. It would be easy enough to replicate, and there are lots of photos out there of captured 262's, especially the US and UK versions. Anyway mate, whatever you do, I know it will be a cracker! ;D Cheers, Sam

well this has been an interesting day. spent quite a bit of time trying to work on a computer for the office. wouldnt get on the internet at all. finally came home and started to play with this. the last couple of nights i had worked on the seat, today i got that painted. then my youngest boy took a look at the computer and fixed it within five minutes. something simple. (for him anyway) at that point i started to work the two fuse sides and glued them together. puttied, sanded, and then brushed some paint to see how that looked. discovered a fingerprint, sanded that, did some touchup, and then reputtied and resanded, repainted. then i decided to dry fit the lower part of the wing. big and nasty discovery. first the seat in place. then the fitting of the fuse sides, added the panels covering the gun platform. then my discovery. oh my god are those large. seems the lower part was molded just a size or two too small. at least towards the nose. this should prove interesting. comments, criticism, and critiques are encouraged. joe

Gee with gaps that large you'd almost think they put the wrong part in the kit. Any way as good as your work is so far I'm sure you'll find a solution

Nasty holes, joe. I'm afraid the only way is to sand down all, fill the seams and rescribe the panels.

No kidding... my boys set up TV with any devices quicker than I can now. And they are only 11 and 13 years old... God have mercy on us old men. LOL Cockpit really looks GOOD!!! Am sure you will have a good plan to fix those gaps... I would just feed one part extra food for few weeks until it matches.

well just a brief update. after a conversation with a man who is much more adept at german ww2 fighters than i, the colors were decided. so after about six hours of fighting my clumsyness the detail is in the wheel wells, and they are painted. this is not intended to be accurate. just something to give the illusion something is there. now i can get onto the little suprise from the last update. comments, critiques, and criticism encouraged. joe
