Hi all. I was searching through the stash this morning looking for some bits for the Karl-Loki and the KV I when I realized I had the Zvesda and Tamiya JSU 152 's. The Zvesda kit has been started for a rusty project, but the Tamiya kit was never opened....go figure I was planning on doing it as a rust bucket, but then after opening the box and checking out the sprues I thought it would be cool to build one without rust.... I know, me doing a normal build eh. I was thinking maybe bang it out quick ( the way CS and T bang them out ;D ) and painting it with maybe a worn white wash. It would also get the full AK range of dust, dirt and mud. What do you think !! A rust bucket of intact tank? ?

Hmm. There's no doubting your considerable ability when it comes to rustifying things, personally I would like to see you do an intact but well used one!

Hiya bud. Yeah it's been ages since I last did one. Now with all those great AK products it's hard not to do one. The Tamiya kits are a breeze to build so that's no prob. I'd add some wear and tear of course, like missing and bent up fenders.

Thanks for the support there fellas. sheesh, you guys make it sound like I have never built or painted a normal tank ;D ;D it has been some time eh. Went out for a smoke and had a crazy idea.......build an interior, but use it as a master to have cast in resin. I hope Steve didn't read that part I'll also use the new AK chipping products on this one. Won't be until 2012 if and when I do this one.

;D ;D Thanks jackwagon. Nah this one is just a speed build for now with lots of weathering. I'll use this baby to experiment with LOTS of AK Int. products. It'll be the "Dirty Beast " Update coming soon.....yep it's been started. I've also started something for the KGB as well.

Not posting a pic just yet, waiting for one side of the tracks to dry first, then a pic or two. Yep I'm doing a model with tracks on it...and the tank will be in one piece to boot.

Here is where she stands T. Not much to show. Cleaning all the wheels for two models takes all the fun time away.

Nice choice, Rob. I've seen some awesome JSU152 models, they are a mean looking beast and in your hands it will be a beauty I'm sure.
Cheers JT

Hey JT, thanks bro. I plan on maybe doing a very worn white wash on this one. I'll use the new chipping fluids from AK for that.
I have the Zvesda kit that will be a rust bucket instead of this one....although this kit is much better.

Thank you kindly fellas. Just letting a few tiny parts dry before putting my big mits on the hull again. It's flying right along...typical Tamiya kit. Thinking of adding some more battle damage to this beast. Back later.

It's not a lot Chris, just some impacts and ricochets. No time left today at the bench, got to go an X-mas party soon. Maybe later on tonight if I can't sleep, I'll hit the bench. I can't wait to start painting and weathering this baby.
