Might have gotten carried away eh. That KV I with the cast turret box art is freakin awesome. It's an all white w/w with green stripes. The weathering on it is killer and I'm gonna do that one.
Nice pics of today's meeting.

Oh yeah, forgot the more pronounced rain marks that were also added using the AK rain marks. These are the small tan lines you see on the upper hull.

Thanks fellas. Ian that KV I of yours looks great as well bro and I can't wait to see it with the dust and dirt on it.
Right, I didn't get very much done yesterday. I did some work on the wheels and sprockets in the form of earth effects and pigments. I'll try to get to the lower hull dirty work soon.

Good grief dude....I don't know what I'm more jealous of. Your quality of work, or the speed in which you do it!
LOVE the rusty bits in the battle damage. They look perfect, and it gives every thing a nice shot of color. I'm loving this thing!
And thanks for the advice on the AB's.....Always appreciate the help. CK

Thank you kindly Mence. Not hard to do bro, just have to go for and not be afraid. An old model is perfect to practice on. I use all my models I build a test beds for new things.
I'll be working on the spare tracks that get mounted on the bow....should be interesting to try and get the look I want. Stay tuned. Will also be getting more bench time in the next two weeks so this will be done in that time frame.

Here we go, a small update. The rear sides looked too clean as I hadn't done anything in that area. The fuel tanks also needed to be done before the dirt and mud can fly. Basically I used the same AK products and technique for the sides. Before the effects dried I added some earth pigments for texture. The fuel tank received an AK dark wash and let dry. Once dry I used some NATO black wash added. Before this could dry I dusted that area with some AK earth tone pigments. The pigments add texture and helps the wash dry faster. In real life dirt and dust would stick to the fuel as I've done here. When dry I the used some engine oil from AK to simulate the fuel. I chose this instead of the AK fuel stain because that is too think and won't show very well. Enough blah blah blah....some pics. Next up are the spare tracks. These will get rusted, then some W/W. What do you think so far....getting dirtier eh.

Just gets better and better!
My boss (by way of a small thank you for the past year) is buying me a kit for Christmas so I have put one of these plus some other Soviet heavies on the list for him.
Really enjoying this, can't wait to have a go myself.
